In the article I’m trying to explain why strategic messaging is important and if companies aren’t sure whether their messaging is working I suggested a 2 step process of testing it.
First, test your messaging by learning whether your team talks about your product consistently. If your message is all over the place then take steps that are described to develop effective messaging.
Second, if your message is consistent internally the next steps is to check whether this internal message consistent with how customers talk about your product. If there is a disconnect then move to developing strategic messaging map.
